The same breathtaking journey through the heart of Kauaʻi — now with our guides at the wheel and your hands completely free.

On the Guided Kilohana Crater Expedition, you're a passenger in every sense of the word. Settle into your Kawasaki Mule, take in the fruit orchards, fern valleys, and sweeping mountain landscapes, and let our expert guides handle everything else. No steering. No navigating. Just you, the scenery, and the stories our guides have been sharing with guests for years.

The experience follows the same legendary route — through diverse microclimates, past open pastureland and grazing cattle, and up to the historic Iliahi estate, where you'll hear the fascinating history of Kauaʻi's ranching and plantation era. The highlight remains the ride to the rim of Kilohana Crater, where 360-degree views and a refreshment stop await at the top.

What's different is how you arrive. Before setting out, guests are welcomed with pre-ride beverages at the start — a moment to settle in, meet your guides, and ease into the adventure ahead. At the crater summit, another refreshment stop gives you time to breathe it all in without a single distraction.

Our guides bring the same warmth, knowledge, and aloha that have made Kilohana Crater Expeditions a five-star experience — now with the added luxury of their undivided attention. No wheel to grip. No route to follow. Just the full magic of Kauaʻi, delivered to you.
