QUICK DETAILS

Available Days: Monday - Saturday

Kilohana Crater Expeditions is a guided off-road adventure into the heart of Kauaʻi, offering guests the chance to experience a side of the island few ever get to see. Beginning at historic Kilohana Plantation, the tour travels in ‘26 and ‘27 Kawasaki Mules seating 2 to 6 passengers and winds through fruit orchards, fern valleys, and diverse forest landscapes, revealing several of Kauaʻi’s remarkable microclimates along the way.

On the journey, guests will enjoy spectacular views, encounters with native Hawaiian plants and trees, open pastureland with grazing cattle, and access to the historic Iliahi estate, a plantation home tucked into the lush mountains above. At Iliahi, guests will learn about the ranching and plantation era of Kauaʻi.

The highlight of the experience is riding the rim to the top of Kilohana Crater, where guests are treated to breathtaking 360-degree views and a refreshment stop surrounded by some of the island’s most stunning scenery. On the return journey, the views continue with sweeping sights of Kalapaki Bay and Hāʻupu Mountain.

Throughout the experience, our knowledgeable guides share the cultural history of the land, stories of the area, and the many movie locations filmed on Grove Farm.

While the scenery is unforgettable , we are fortunate to have five-star guides who bring warmth, knowledge, and aloha to our tours. At Kilohana Crater Expeditions, we appreciate you visiting our island and we welcome you into our ʻohana.
